At Southern Refinishing, we strive to make every customer’s experience as comfortable and painless as possible. We understand how stressful it can be to have a contractor in your home interfering with your personal space, which is why we are always polite, answer our clients’ questions, and clean up after each job completely. You won’t have to do anything but enjoy your newly resurfaced tub or sink. From the prep to cleanup and caulking, we include everything in the price quote so there are no surprises. Whenever there is an issue, we don’t rest until it’s completely resolved and our clients are left feeling 100% satisfied.
Southern Refinishing is the oldest refinishing company in Louisiana. We are family owned and operated—the business was founded by Dale & Shirley Dickerson and their son Lesley. Lesley is now the sole owner, and we’ve had several family members work with him and his parents over the years. Lesley’s wife Misty is also part of the business and all of other employees are like family to us as well.
We believe in taking something old, dingy, or outdated and giving it new life. Many sinks and bathtubs have many years left in them, so we make them look good as new again, which saves homeowners time and money. Rather than replacing classic, durable fixtures with new tubs, sinks, and countertops that are not nearly as well-made, we extend the use of their current fixtures.
Southern Refinishing in New Orleans and surrounding areas has done work for many well-known local properties. We refinished the pelican sign on the GNO Bridge, which you’ll see when heading to the West Bank of New Orleans. We also refinished a captain’s personal quarters’ sink for the PT-305 Restoration project, now on display at the National WWII Museum. We are proud to complete these projects that have become part of local and American history.
